Cinematography for ‘Plebs’, short-film shot during the 62 Cannes Film Festival
Plebs is a film about the artists who were responsible for closing the Cannes festival in 1968 and the ideals of the festival 40 years later, as it “celebrates” this historical moment.
In 1968, there was a common understanding that art is political but that politics stands before art because people are not characters, they are people. This film is also about the politically charged atmosphere surrounding the Cannes Festival.
